Psalm 30
This is a genuine prayer for help from the heart; having just read and reflected on the first Reading from Jeremiah, and seeing the plot against the prophet, this is a very appropriate prayer; the prophet is crying out for release from his enemies. One of the final lines of the Psalm sums it up: “I trust in you, Lord, I say: You are my God, my life is in your hands.”
Total trust, total abandonment to the Lord. This is surely what we all aspire to: total trust and abandonment.

Lord, help me to put all my trust in you, let my faith never waver. Amen
