‘I am the bread of life’
John 6 : 35
We need food to sustain life and bread is the staple diet everywhere. Here Jesus is proclaiming that he is the bread of life. But the people are off on their own train of thought and say their ancestors ate manna in the desert . Jesus comes straight to the point and tell them it wasn’t Moses that gave them manna but my Father is the One giving bread from heaven and tells them ‘’I am the bread of life.’’ Little did the people realise the importance of Jesus’ words for them and for mankind.
Prayer
Prayer : Jesus Bread of Life everyday you give us this food in the Eucharist. Give us the Bread of life so that we may live in you and for you now and always. Make us grow in love and bring us to true life in you . Give us the hope of eternal resurrection.
