‘’and the bread that I shall give is my flesh for the life of the world ‘’
John 6 :51
On Holy Thursday and Good Friday during the Passover feast Jesus gave his flesh for the life of the world. In today’s world we often forget his words and his sacrifice. Yet they are there in the Word of God for anyone to read or hear. Of course reading is not enough. As we grow older and view the world we see the world’s need for redemption. It is redeemed by the blood of Christ who gave his flesh for the life of the world. Unfortunately his redemption has not been accepted by everyone. We are heedless to the words of Jesus and our redemption.
Prayer
Prayer : Heavenly Father give me a great and deeper understanding of your love for us that you allowed your only Son to take flesh and dwell among us and to give his life for the life of the world. To our human finite minds is incomprehensible. We mean so much to you. Thank you for the great love you have for us. Thank you for the gift of Jesus. Thank you for the Bread of Life. Thank you for his sacrifice.
