4. MEEKNESS

"He has told you…what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice,
and to love kindness
and to walk humbly with your God."

Our Founder, Pierre Bienvenu Noailles,
spoke in particular of two qualities
he wished his Family to have: humility and patience.
"Jesus himself was humble and meek of heart and tells us,
'Blessed are the meek, they shall possess the earth.'"
Mt 5:4

Gospel meekness is not weakness but the gentleness of Christ in how we relate to others.

God of the universe,
inspire us to do what is just and right,
to act justly,
to act with patience and forbearance,
to speak the truth from the heart
and to respect our neighbours
as we would wish them to respect us.
