6. SERVICE

"Though he was in the form of God,
Jesus did not regard equality with God
as something to be exploited,

Readiness to serve others in need is characteristic of the followers of Christ who gave his life for us.
We serve him when we serve others in his name.

Lord, present in our world today,
help us to serve you in our neighbours,
whatever their colour or creed or need,
remembering that when we serve them
we serve you.
