Apostolic Sisters
"Go forward, … and may your hands
scatter on all sides the divine seed of
good works and good example."

P.B. Noailles

The apostolic religious of the Holy Family live in communities - large or small - according to the apostolate. The Apostolic Sisters in their various commitments continue the mission of Christ who went about doing good. They may be found in towns, the country, villages or in the middle of the bush, in shantytowns and slums. Each apostolic community lives a common mission, which inspires the apostolic undertakings of its members - catechesis, education, care of the sick, promotion of women, service of the poor, the handicapped.
Christ is the centre of the community;
it is united around:

the Eucharist,
the shared Word,
prayer in common.
As apostolic religious we share in the life of the Church. The mission of preaching the Gospel is not limited to those times when we are in full health. The Gospel can be lived and preached effectively in sickness and old age as well as when we are young and in full health. The whole life of an Apostolic Sister, like that of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Nazareth, is apostolic.

Fr Noailles reminded the first Sisters that they had not separated themselves from the ordinary people. As their companions, they were to accompany them on their journey and share with them, as far as possible

"all the fatigues, the trials and the dangers of the journey."
Pierre Bienvenu Noailles

We shall now let some of the Sisters from this group tell their own story.
