Each group of Lay Associates meets monthly to pray, read and reflect on the Scriptures. We conclude the meeting with Family business and a cup of tea. These meetings enable us to come together as a Family and to learn more about the Scriptures and Church documents, as well as the life and spirituality of our Founder. This helps us to deepen and strengthen our spiritual lives, to go out and live our Baptismal calling by professing our faith in the way we live in our neighbourhood, in our homes and within our families.
Having been to Martillac, near Bordeaux, the place where our Founder, Pierre Bienvenue Noailles, lived for many years, where his tomb rests in the chapel of the Holy Family Contemplative Sisters, and to feel his presence all around the place, helps us to understand more fully his intentions and dream for his whole future Family. We also realise in a very real and palpable way that we are privileged to be part of a Family of Religious, Seculars, Lay People and Priests - a Family that finds unity in the diversity of its members. The dream of Vatican II to set aside all divisions of race, creed, colour or culture was already envisaged by Pierre Bienvenu Noailles nearly two hundred years ago.
