Hosea, is known as the Prophet of love and his writings are based on his experience of a loving family.
In writing of his life of love for his children, he reminds us of God’s love and care for each person God has created.. First of all, he tells of God’s relationship of love, a relationship which holds firm on God’s part despite our frequent waywardness. In this wayward path, God still shows his love. When we turn to him and hold up our arms he will lift us up, like a loving father, and hold us close to him, hoping that we would remain close to him throughout our life.
Prayer
Our Father, Creator and friend, as I dwell on how you have brought me to this day, I thank you for your love and for leading me along the path of life in spite of my waywardness. Be with me Lord. I trust in your everlasting love.
