Jesus’ parent, assuming that he was in the group of travellers; they went a day’s journey. Then they started to look for him amongst their relatives and friends. Mary finds Jesus at his work. He is on mission, sent by his heavenly Father. His mission is a mystery in which he is totally involved. His Mother is full of sorrow, this means that Jesus is now entering a stage in his earthly life, and parting with his mother. “My father” a change for his parents, up till now Joseph was called by that title. They did not understand. Obedient to his parents, Jesus went down with them and came to Nazareth.
Prayer
God our Father we thank you for St. Joseph. As we celebrate his love, care and faithfulness. We ask you that our lives reflect his virtues. Amen
