The Lord is near to broken hearts.
The face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears.
He rescues them from all their troubles.
A wisdom hymn of praise to God for his creative word and his control of history. It is an invitation to the just to repent. God is near the broken-hearted and saves the crushed spirit. God watches over those who put their trust in him.
Prayer
Lord we know we have redemption through Jesus’ Blood and forgiveness of our sins. May our faith image this with love and thanks. Amen
