In response to Elizabeth’s greeting Mary is so happy she sings her song of praise to the Lord. She acknowledges his greatness and her littleness and she knows her son will change the world. She goes back in her Jewish family, as far back as Abraham. The promises made to Abraham and his descendants is about to be fulfilled. God is true to his promise.
Prayer
Mary, Mother of Jesus teach us to praise God for his fidelity. Keep us joyful and ready and acclaim he is the one in charge, even when things look so bad around us. He is with us every step of the way as he was with you. Amen
