Fifth Week of Easter

"Peace I bequeath to you, my own peace I give you."
John 14 : 27
These are some of the last Words of Jesus, the night before He died. Of course, the Apostles did not understand this was, as it were, His last will before his death. He does not offer them riches, or lands but His peace. It is much later when they understand the significance of His words. He has given us the gift to pass it on. So far we have failed.
Prayer
Jesus enlighten our minds to the value of your words. Give us the faith and strength to abide by them in our daily lives. Be with our leaders and lead them into the path of peace, your peace which reaches every
country in the world. Jesus we are your children. Teach us to have a respect for peace in all our undertakings. Amen
