Daily Prayer

Jesus continues to explain to the lawyer. They have not listened to the wisdom of God. Instead they have persecuted and killed the prophets God has sent them and they will continue doing it. They never learn from their mistakes. They have taken away the key of knowledge. They are not happy to hear these words of Jesus and instead ty to catch him out in their questions. They are not really interested in his answers.
Jesus, give us a steadfast heart and a humble understanding of your words. Let us listen to you with our hearts. Have pity on our weakness and frailty. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Give us a deep understanding of your words and may we always stay by you to listen and put into practice in our daily lives what we learn from you. Amen
