Feast of St. John Eudes, Priest

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me,  and do not stop them;  for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs.’  And he laid his hands on them and went on his way.” (Matthew 19 : 14)

Jesus heals by touch.  Jesus here blesses the children by placing his hands on them.  Jesus not only gives them importance and His blessing,  but He also proposes them as models of those belonging to God’s Kingdom.  Children are His examples of those who accept the Good News of God’s love with an open,  simple and humble disposition.
