“Jesus said; ‘Be merciful,  just as your Father is merciful. Do not judge  and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.  Forgive,  and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you.'” (Luke 6 : 36)

St. Brigid, 454 – 524, is renowned for her hospitality, almsgiving and care of the sick.  She founded a double monastery in Kildare.  The St. Brigid’s Cross, in legend used by Brigid to explain the Christian faith,  remains a popular sign of God’s protection.
