“Pray then in this way;  ‘Our Father who art in heaven,  hallowed be your name.  Your Kingdom come……'”  (Matthew 6 : 9)

Jesus teaches His disciples a way to keep in touch with heavenly things,  namely prayer.  The Lord’s Prayer shows us that many words are not necessary.  In it we praise God’s glory,  and ask for our needs, provision,  pardon,  protection.
