Feast of St. Killian
July 8th, 2015
"Then Jesus summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority to cast out unclean spirits and to cure every disease and every sickness."
Matthew 10 : 1
Jesus had manifested His power to heal and to teach. Now He chooses men with whom He shares this power over demons and illnesses. He now sees His desire to have more shepherds attending to the troubled and abandoned crowds. For the moment their mission is directed to the people of Israel, they are not to preach to the Samaritans. Jesus says; “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel.”
Prayer
God of compassion, deepen our love for you, so that it may overflow into the way we treat those around us. Amen
