""Now we know that you know all things."" John 16 : 30

These are the words Jesus speaks before He goes up to Heaven; “Make disciples of all nations – teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”   This corresponds to the first part of the Mass – The Liturgy of the Word.  When He says; “I am with you always until the end of time.”  He means nearness or presence.  This conforms with the second part of the Mass – The Liturgy of the Eucharist, where Christ becomes present to the Church.  The Mass therefore, focuses on what Jesus has done during His Ministry,  teaching and guiding.  The Church may assume this activity and maybe there are other ways too,  but it is through the Mass that she does it powerfully,  and when we attend Mass we have all these.

Prayer Lord we pray for a greater understanding of the Mass, and may we be always faithful to it. Amen
