Prayer of the Day
Feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux
October 1st, 2016
"The disciples came to Jesus and said; 'Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?'"
Matthew 18 : 1

Jesus shows that the only way to enter the Kingdom of Heaven is to become simple, humble, sincere, loving and respectful. That is the secret of sanctity.
Today is the Feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, 1873 – 1897. She is known as ‘The Little Flower.’ St. Thérèse has been a highly influential model of sanctity for Catholics and for others because of the ‘simplicity and practicality of her approach to the spiritual life.’ She is one of the most popular Saints in the history of the Church. She was declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope John Paul II in 1997. She is Patron of missions, florists, aviators and France.
