Prayer of the Day
Feast of The Most Holy Trinity
May 31st, 2015
At the Last Supper, Christ explained to the Apostles that He would not teach them everything, because they were not, during his lifetime, sufficiently receptive. The Holy Spirit will be charged with continuing Christ’s work for all the days of the future Church. It is the love of the Father that gives us his Son, while the Holy Spirit is ever leading us to know the whole truth.
“Alleluia – Alleluia. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Alleluia – Alleluia. Who is, who was, and who is to come – Alleluia!”
Preface – “Father all powerful and ever loving God. We do well to give you always and everywhere thanks. We joyfully proclaim our faith in the mystery of your Godhead. You have revealed your glory as the glory also of you Son and of the Holy Spirit: Three Persons equal in majesty, undivided in splendour, yet one Lord, our God, ever to be adored in your everlasting glory. And so, with all the choirs in heaven we proclaim your glory. Holy, Holy, Holy…..”
