Prayer of the Day

Feast of the Nativity of the Lord (Christmas Day)

December 25th, 2013
""And the word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son."" John 1 : 14

We see the phrase “full of grace” a few times in the Bible.  The angel greets Mary with those words, and to-day,  we find that as the Word became flesh,  Jesus Christ revealed the glory of the Father’s only son,  full of grace and truth.   Jesus knew that all life was a gift and sought to teach us this truth through his example of life and death.   John also tells us,  from his fullness we have all received.   May we welcome the grace of God into our hearts as we celebrate the birth of the Saviour who brings  us the gift of the fullness of life.

Prayer God of unending grace, may we accept your gift of life, and honour you by living and proclaiming the message of the Gospel. Lord hear us. Amen
