Feast of The Transfiguration Of The Lord

“And He was transfigured before them,  and His face shone like the sun,  and His clothes became dazzling white.   Suddenly there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with Him.” (Matthew 17 : 1)

The Cross requires the exodus of Jesus, His Death, Resurrection and Glorification.  The Transfiguration shows the disciples and all His followers,  Jesus as the light of divinity fully manifest in a human being.   Christ reveals  who we are and who, by grace, we are to become.
