Prayer of the Day

Fifth Sunday of the Year

February 5th, 2017

The Gospels highlight the need for unity in families and communities. In it Jesus comments on the ridicule of the Pharisees that He operates through Beelzebub, remarking that if that is so, then it means that the power of evil is finished. Similarly, if we disagree continually among ourselves, then conflict becomes the order of the day, instead  of peacemaking  and compromise. Personal conflicts can lead to increased tension resulting in local & national contests for superiority.

We pray for interior peace, and for help and guidance in promoting good relationships among others. Amen
