First Week of Advent – Feast of St. Andrew, Apostle

The theme of “followship ” or “fellowship” with Jesus is a continual Gospel theme. This story is the foundation of the ministry of Jesus—he cannot work solo. Neither can we. Only to FOLLOW the Master, wherever he leads and with others similarly committed. Jesus favours working in pairs—the basis of teamwork. Using the medium of the net, we travel back in time to honour Andrew (patron of Scotland ) who brought his wild, impetuous brother to the Lord. See what happened! We too bring the very raw material of our hearts ,our minds and other people, very hopefully to that same Lord.
We pray for all who work for the Lord in full –time ministry, that they will be blessed by Him, find support and strength to continue. Let us pray for more people to respond to His call. Amen
