Luke 6 : 8
In the course of his preaching , Jesus came across a man with a withered hand, whom he cured. However , this infuriated the Pharisees because it all happened on the Sabbath Day, resulting in the plot to kill Jesus by the Pharisees. This miracle too was preceded by Jesus’s teaching on the real meaning of Sabbath—that it was made by the Lord for people to enjoy their worship of Him, & not to exploit others.
Prayer
Lord we ask you for a greater appreciation of the Sabbath rest, that all may profit from your special day, given to us out of your love and care for us. Amen
