Prayer of the Day
Second Sunday of Lent
March 16th, 2014
The course of Jesus’ life has been set, and each stage and chapter of His life is in preparation for the final event. Jesus’ ministry follows the Father’s plan, every action that He does from the beginning must be about the Father’s business. Jesus submits Himself to the divine Will in His Passion, because He knows His destiny is in God’s hand. Like Jesus, we are set for a happy and glorious ending. But first, we too must set out for our journey to Jerusalem. We must carry our cross and die to our sinful selves. As we bear our share of the hardships and discouragement we need to hold on to our final goal – the glory that awaits us. Jesus also suffered. Paul says; “for here we have no lasting city, but we seek the one that is to come.”
