Prayer of the Day
Sixth Week of Easter
May 6th, 2016
The gift of Piety helps Christians to pray, prayer is the bond between the soul and God. It is helpful to spend time in prayer. To begin the habit of daily prayer, one must plan to spend a quiet time and place to pray. Take Jesus words and think about them. He said; ‘When you pray to your heavenly Father in spirit and in truth say, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’ Amen Saying the Apostles Creed is powerful to affirm our faith and belief in God because it is a renewal of our baptismal vows to God.
Let us pray; 'Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.' Amen
