"Lay down your life for me? "
John 13 : 38
Peter tells Jesus he is ready to lay down his life for Jesus. Knowing Jesus better than Peter knows himself, Jesus questions his loyalty. Jesus tells Peter that before cockcrow Peter will have denied him three times. I am sure Peter did not believe that.
Prayer
Jesus, teach me to listen to you and especially to trust you, for you know me better than I know myself. During this Holy Week let me think of your love for us and I pray for all those in today’s world who are giving their lives for you. Help them Jesus. Amen
