Sr. Áine Hayde – Provincial Leader

 Áine joined the Sisters of the Holy Family of Bordeaux at the age of 17. Having gained a B.A. degree and a higher Diploma in Education, she taught for eight years in Ireland after which she worked in the Generalate of the Institute in Rome, as Assistant General Bursar for a further eleven years. She studied spirituality in Dublin and Chicago and obtained a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University. From 1999 to 2000, she was Provincial Bursar of the Province of Britain and Ireland. In 2004, she gained a PhD in Theology and has since been engaged in giving retreats and workshops to members of the Institute in Britain, Ireland, Rome, Bordeaux and South Africa. Sister Áine was appointed Provincial Leader of the Province of Britain and Ireland in 2006.
