Who we are
The Association of the Holy Family comprises:
- Apostolic Sisters
- Contemplative Sisters
- Priest Associates
- Lay Associates
- An Institute of Consecrated Secular women
Founded in Bordeaux in 1820 by Fr. Noailles, it spread rapidly, and is now present in four continents.
United in heart and soul, like the First Christian Communities and, following the example of Jesus, Mary and Joseph who lived for God Alone, the members aim to spread and strengthen the faith.
The Association of the Holy Family is based on the model of the early Church.
It is one in its aim and its spirit, and diverse in its vocation. The source of inspiration for the Association is the Holy Family of Nazareth.
All the members share a common mission, the mission of Christ who came on earth to establish the Reign of God and to “gather into unity the scattered children of God”
They try to witness in a divided world that communion is possible.
