A place apart from all the bustle of this modern world.
Sixth century to twenty first yet the message is the same.
Commune with God; he is always there .
From then, till now and to eternity.
St. Finbar’s Holy Place.
Silence and serenity echo down the years.
Peace reverberates all around.
Children’s voices grow quiet and are stilled as the tranquility of this special place hushes their childish chatter.
The bell is quiet but the people still come.
What brings them to this sacred place?
Peace, serenity, silence in their hearts.
A place to still the mind.
Away from the hustle and bustle of this mad, mad world.
War, fire, floods and avarice ravish our lands.
In this quiet place of grace time stands still.
Open our hearts to what God has to offer.
Be grateful, be thankful for this holy and special place.
