God so loved the world

this world, our only home,
ravaged by destructive floods, droughts, deadly wildfires
devastating weather patterns
that are becoming more widespread, intense and persistent.
The new normal!

You who, in the beginning, brought everything into being
You who love the world so much.
What must we do?
You tell us: “You know what you must do
You cannot save what you do not love
Love one another as I love you.
You are not separate from nature.
You are one with all that exists.
Kin with all living creatures”
